How we build software
A transparent, engineering-led process refined over 15+ years. No black boxes, no big-bang surprises — just steady, visible progress toward software that works.
- 01
Discovery
1–3 weeksWe learn your business, users, constraints, and existing systems. We identify compliance requirements, integration risks, and the smallest version of the product that delivers real value.
- Requirements & user roles
- Integration and data-flow map
- Compliance scope (HIPAA / PCI)
- Ranged estimate
- 02
Architecture & proposal
1–2 weeksWe design the system, choose the stack deliberately, and turn the plan into a phased, fixed-scope proposal with clear milestones.
- Architecture & hosting plan
- UX flows and wireframes
- Phased roadmap
- Fixed-scope proposal
- 03
Iterative build
Two-week sprintsSenior engineers build in short cycles with a working demo at the end of each. You see progress constantly and can adjust priorities as you learn.
- Sprint demos
- Automated tests & code review
- CI/CD to staging
- Security reviews on sensitive flows
- 04
Launch
Planned, not rushedLoad testing, security checks, data migration, app store submission, and a launch plan with rollback. We stay close during the first weeks in production.
- Production environment
- Monitoring & alerts
- Data migration
- Launch runbook
- 05
Scale & advance
Ongoing — your choiceKeep us on for hosting, support, and new features, or take full ownership with thorough documentation and a clean handoff.
- Managed hosting (optional)
- Support & maintenance
- Roadmap delivery
- Handoff documentation
Do you work fixed-price or time-and-materials?
Both. Discovery is short and fixed. Well-defined phases can be fixed-scope; evolving products usually work best as a monthly engagement with a clear sprint plan and budget visibility.
How involved do we need to be?
Plan on a product owner who can attend a short weekly check-in and each sprint demo, and answer questions within a day or two. That involvement is the single biggest predictor of a successful project.
What happens after launch?
You choose: ongoing hosting, monitoring, and development with us, or a documented handoff to your internal team or another vendor. Either way, you own the code and infrastructure.
